Triple Decker Cheeseburger

Ingredients
- 1.35 kg lean ground beef
- 1 ½ tsp salt
- ¾ tsp black pepper
- 12 slices Armstrong Medium Cheddar Cheese
- 4 large burger buns, toasted
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
- 4 large lettuce leaves
- ½ cup BBQ sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Directions
- Make the patties: Divide the ground beef into 12 equal portions (about 110 g each). Shape into thin, even patties slightly wider than the buns. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Grill or pan-fry the patties: Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat with olive oil. Cook patties in batches, about 3–4 minutes per side. In the last 30 seconds, top each with a slice of Armstrong Medium Cheddar and cover to melt.
- Toast the buns: Toast the buns on the grill or in a pan until lightly golden.
- Assemble: Spread BBQ sauce on the bottom bun. Layer cheesy patties, tomato, red onion, lettuce, and top with the bun lid.
- Serve: Serve hot. Use a skewer or knife to hold the tower together if needed.
