Hot Cheese, Bacon and Spinach Dip

Ingredients

  • 250 ml (1 cup) fresh spinach, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) sour cream
  • 8 oz (1 pack) cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cup Armstrong Mmmm...Bacon Shredded Cheese, divided 
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • A few drops Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
  • Hot sauce, to taste (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350 ºF).
  2. In an oven-ready 9-inch pan, mix the spinach, garlic, onion, sour cream, cream cheese, 1 cup of Armstrong Mmmm...Bacon shredded cheese, Parmesan cheese, Worcestershire sauce, salt and black pepper, with hot sauce (optional). Mix well.
  3. Sprinkle the remaining Armstrong cheese on top.
  4. Cook in the oven for 20 to 22 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Broil for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese turns golden.
  5. Garnish with crumbled cooked bacon, and serve hot with toasted baguette, vegetables, crackers or chips.
